7 Mares Mexican Grill | Our Story

Seven seas, one table

7 Mares was born in Williamsburg in 2022 with a simple conviction: coastal Mexican seafood — the real stuff, built on daily-fresh fish and generations of flavor — belonged in Virginia. Four locations later, the ocean is still the inspiration.

Regulars warn first-timers about the frozen margaritas — "the size of your head" is how they put it. The full bar was built to match the boldness of the food.

What started in Williamsburg now reaches Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Hampton — and the name still means what it always did: seven seas, one promise of fresh, soul-forward coastal Mexican cooking wherever you find us.
